On March 23, 2010, President Barack Obama signed a sweeping and comprehensive healthcare reform bill into law – The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The primary purpose of the law is to create an overall approach to expanding access to care for most US citizens and legal residents.
We feel that understanding how this law will affect you and your family is of high importance now that full implementation of the law is in place as of January 1, 2014. Two key provisions of the law are the Individual Mandate and the Employer Requirements.
A summary of these provisions and other key facets of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act can be found on the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation website at www.kff.org under publication #8061 as well as www.healthcare.gov
